About GF Cork
Founded in 1989, GF Cork has more than 35 years of experience in the production of cork stoppers. It began its activity with the production of natural cork stoppers, embracing the tradition and know-how of an industry deeply rooted in Portugal. Recognising the evolution of the sector and the growing demands of the market, around two decades ago we invested in the production of micro-agglomerated, technical and champagne corks, consolidating our position as a trusted partner in the sealing of still wines, sparkling wines, spirits, beer and cider.
Innovation and quality have been fundamental pillars of our journey. We continuously invest in the development of in-house technology, rigorous control processes, and product certification, ensuring standards of excellence that meet the expectations of the most demanding clients.
Today, GF Cork is a global company, with over 90% of its production destined for export. We work in close partnership with wine producers and distributors across multiple international markets, bringing the quality of Portuguese cork to the world.

In 2025, we completed the expansion and renovation of GF Cork’s facilities — a strategic investment designed with the future in mind.
We carried out extensive structural improvements, modernized our infrastructure, strengthened our equipment capacity, and invested in new technology. Above all, we invested in people — creating better working conditions, optimizing processes, and raising our quality standards.
This project reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement and to the excellence we strive to build every day.

Moulding Patent
We patented our moulding process, moving away from producing corks by extrusion.
